The foundations of present Öveges Ltd were laid by Öveges Training-Organizing private enterprise that started its activity in 1993 as the subsidiary of College of Foreign Trade Szókratész Ltd. Two years later it became independent and started its own activity in 1996

Our institute introduced a quality managing system according to ISO 9001:2000. Our company was accredited by the Board for Adult Education and Training Accreditation on 14 May 2003.Our accreditation register number is :0338.

At the beginning our main activity was vocational training exclusively. Later besides teaching foreign languages it was the main source of our income. Nowadays language teaching and IT training have equal importance.

From 2003 we extended our target groups focusing on lower educated people offering them new training programs as well as distance education and organizing trainings in outer premises . Reacting to the changing training market we turned from periodical training to permanent training, and it required reorganising the structure of our company.

We are well- experienced in the field of organizing and examining in vocational trainings. Since the introduction of OKJ system our vocational trainings end up with an examination aiming to get qualification.

Since 1st July 2004 we have had the licence to organize examinations aiming to get certification in certain 20 trades under the supervision of the Ministry of Education based on the 18/2004.(V.28) order. We have had the licence to organize examinations for skilled workers for 11 trades according to the 9/2208. (VI. 28.) order of SZMM which are under the supervision of the Minister of Labour of Social Affairs.

We have had the certification from the Labour Centre since 1997. At the moment the Bács-Kiskun County Government Office registers our institute under number 03-0029-06.

Öveges Ltd has operated as an accredited international examination centre of Neumann János IT Assosiation since 30th May 2002. Our ECDL exam preparing program was accredited by the Adult Training Association in 2003. Its register number was 040. We had this prorgam reaccredited in 2011. Its register number is :PL-5754.

Foreign languages are taught at nine levels according to our modul system. Absolute beginners start their language studies in the first modul, but those applicants who have already studied language should take a diagnostic test either orally or in written form in order to start their language studies. At the end of each modul students have to take a modul exam. This is the basic condition to go on with their language studies in the next modul. It means students can join a modul by taking a diagnostic test or a successful exam from the previous modul.This system makes it possible for our students to go on with their studies in the modul that is most appropriate to their language knowledge.

Great majority of our students end their language studies by passing the state-acknowledged and accredited (PANNON, ORIGO) bilingual language exams or the monolingual (TELC,ÖSD) language exams at basic,intermediate or advanced level.

Our English and German language teaching programs (from the beginner to advanced level) was accredited by the Board for Adult Education and Training Accreditation 2011.The register numbers of these programs are: PL-6036 and PL-6037.

Our institution was declared an accredited Pannon examination site by the Language Exam Accreditation Association on 25 October 2006.Since then Öveges Ltd has had the licence to organise English and German general bilingual language exams.

Besides it we were declared an accredited examination site of SZIE Zöld Út Special Language Examination Centre by the Language Exam Accreditation Association on 15 October 2009.
